Passionate About Inspiring Others

August 31, 2017 I was in a rodeo accident in Filer, Idaho. I broke my back and after a 5 1/2 hour surgery, the doctors told me I was paralyzed from the waist down. I was given a 5% chance to ever walk again. Determined to defy the odds, I made it a goal to walk out of the hospital. Less than two months later, I made that goal a reality and nothing has been able to slow me down since.

I want to instill in an individual, a company and the community that they can overcome obstacles and succeed in life through motivation, perseverance, and their Faith.

Growing up in Roosevelt, Utah, I learned to love camping, hunting, fishing, and ranching with my family. From a young age I knew that sports were going to be a part of my life. I participated in football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and wrestling. Being in Utah, I had the opportunity to meet 4-time NFR World Champion bareback rider Kaycee Field. Kaycee was kind enough to introduce me to and mentor me in bareback riding. It was quickly obvious that this sport was for me. I was offered a scholarship to Weber State University where I was on the rodeo team and competed at the College National Finals Rodeo. I placed 8th in the Finals. I then transferred to the College of Southern Idaho and was on their rodeo team as well. I also was competing on the Pro Rodeo Circuit and was ranked 6th in the Wilderness Circuit in the PRCA when my accident happened.

My parents always told me growing up, "You were born to succeed".  Especially since my accident, I have found this to be true and I want to share it with everyone I come in contact with. Mine is a message of setting goals, being resilient, and keeping a positive attitude while overcoming setbacks and challenges.
